The 17-dog onslaught at Friday’s Gawler meeting by Moorak trainers Jason Newman and Melissa Freitag and Dave Green of Millicent resulted in two wins and four minor placings.

For owner-trainer Green, at the northern track for the first time, his double with Paw Some Storm and Tigger’s Run was his second. Last year at Tara Raceway on September 24 he was successful with the same pair.

Raced by Green and Newman, Paw Some Storm led all the way from box one in the first heat of the SA-owned Grade Five Series (400 m) for a three length win over On The Whisky’s in 22.71 seconds.

And in a grade six 530 metre event, Tigger’s Run stormed home after being well back early to defeat the Newman-trained Zipping Shakira by three lengths in 31.11 seconds.

Tigger’s Run, a giveaway greyhound, is by Cosmic Rumble out of Mossy Girl and raced by Green and Jarrad Williams of Mount Gambier.

Also running minor placings for the Newman/Freitag team were Come On Kilkenny, Redshift Uniform and Miss Speed Bogan.
