It was back in May that Bourne Model scored the win of her life for Allendale East owner-trainer David Peckham in the $75,000-to-the-winner Group 1 Sapphire Crown (515 m) at Sandown Park.

Recently he took on the Group 1 TAB Adelaide Cup (530 m) with the daughter of Feral Franky and Sweet On Me. And while failing to reach the final after running second in a heat, Bourne Model did advance to the TAB Piping Shrike Cup Consolation.
The Piping Shrike turned out to be a terrific race with Bourne Model and Kisauni virtually matching motors for the whole journey and Bourne Model ultimately hanging on to win by a half head in 30.53 seconds.
With the winner collecting $17,500, Bourne Model’s overall prize money now stands at $139,000.
Sweet On Me, a daughter of Barcia Bale and Call Me Gee, won 21 races, including the 2020 Mount Gambier Summer Classic (512 m), and $24,000 in prize money.
She is now due to whelp her fourth litter – a repeat mating to Feral Franky – later this month. Other litters are by Superior Panama and McInerney.
