When Dennington trainer Pat Bouchier, involved in the greyhound game for 50-odd years, lines up with Bisenti in Thursday’s Trackside Meats Stake (600 metres) it will be his first runner at the Lake Terrace East Tara Raceway.
And the black bitch looks to be the one to beat at the time-graded meeting after narrowly going down over 595 metres at Sandown Park late last month – her race record currently standing at 10 starts for two wins and five minor placings.
By Dyna Double One, Bisenti is out of Bookie, who raced on only five occasions for two minor placings over 450 metres at Warrnambool in early 2014.
However, this is a strong line, Bookie being a litter sister to Pat and Patricia Bouchier’s Beks, a winner over 600 metres and 725 metres at The Meadows, 660 metres (Ballarat) and 715 metres (Sandown Park).
All told, the son of Bekim Bale x Flaming Doll went around 81 times for 10 wins and 33 minor placings and prizemoney earnings of $100,000.
Allendale East trainer David Peckham has renewed acquaintances with the My Bro Fabio x Born Ali litter, Prince Ali lining up for his first Tara Raceway start on Thursday in the South Eastern Hotel Stake (400 m).
In the first three months of this year Peckham won five races at Tara Raceway with Prince Ali’s litter sister Rose Ali before she was sold to owners in Queensland, her first win in that state coming earlier this month when she was successful at Bundaberg over 550 metres.
Prince Ali won at his first race start back in March this year, clocking 29.82 seconds over 515 metres at Sandown Park. Today will be his first race start in close to six months.
This has been a more than handy litter for Born Ali, a winner of 20 races and $254,000 in stakemoney – Grace Ali winning nine races and $89,000, Rasheda (8, $37,500) and Sweet As Emm (13, $86,000).
