Dusty Pearl, winner of the 2018 John Reid Memorial Maiden (512 metres) at Tara Raceway, has whelped a litter of three dogs and three bitches to Elite State who raced on only 14 occasions for 11 wins during 2003.
Elite State, by Just The Best x Spark Again, was a Group 1 performer and a successful sire, one of his best sons being Knocka Norris.
Steve Bartholomew, of Worrolong, bred Dusty Pearl and also her litter by Elite State which was whelped on December 18. Also bred at Worrolong was the litter’s granddam Azumi Touch, herself a daughter of Elite State.
All told, Dusty Pearl, by 31-race winner Dyna Tron, won eight races at Tara Raceway over distances of 400 metres, 512 metres and 600 metres.
In other breeding news, Shima Breeze, a winner of 25 races (including a track record over 277 metres at Tara Raceway) and $108,000 in stakemoney, is to be mated with Barcia Bale.
And Venus And Mars, winner of last month’s Sunset Community Kitchen feature, is also in season and will be mated with Fernando Bale.
