Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) late last week confirmed a $500,000 boost to feature prize money and participant returns for the 2025-26 South Australian racing season.

A total of $300,000 will be injected into the SA feature program, commencing immediately and locked in for three years. A further $200,000 will be provided via various participant returns, aimed at rewarding those supporting the SA industry.

The feature prize money increases have been applied across the full width of the program. SA’s most significant feature, the TAB Adelaide Cup, will remain the state’s headline act with final prize money increasing by $55,000 to $200,000.

And finals of Group 3 regional cups run at Gawler, Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier will increase from $36,000 to $50,000. As far as Mount Gambier is concerned, its Anniversary Cup has also received a $15,000 boost which now takes its final prize money to $25,000.

Regarding the $200,000 increase to general participant returns, GRSA said a variety of options were being looked at to further support those showing confidence and supporting the SA industry.
