Local greyhound trainers, owner/attendants and breeders were back in school last Saturday at Tara Raceway for animal welfare and injury prevention training which are among the requirements of the Ashton Review.
Greyhound Racing SA’s industry-wide training program is aimed at strengthening animal welfare standards and reducing injury rates across the sport. All relevant participants will be required to complete the training by June 30.
The in-person training was conducted at Gawler last Tuesday and at Angle Park on Saturday morning with Mount Gambier taking a live stream from that track. The final training session will be at Murray Bridge on Wednesday night.
