With all Miss Freelove’s first litter by Dyna Double One engaged at Tara Raceway tomorrow, local greyhound trainers Tracie Price and Dean Fennell will be hoping to share the love around with the six April 2018 whelpings.
Price has Vossy, Miss One Love, Maunganui Bella and Double Love engaged while Fennell will be represented by Fawn Daisy and Perseverance.
Vossy, who staged a great battle over 400 metres with General Max at Tara Raceway last week when winning by three-quarters of a length in 23.36 seconds, will take on Galactic Destiny in the Greg Martlew Autos Stake (400 m).
This should be an interesting race with Vossy, a winner of six races from 16 starts, and Galactic Destiny, a best of day 23.20 seconds winner last week when resuming from a lengthy break.
Maunganui Bella and Miss One Love will clash in what looks to be a winnable Swallow Drive Meats Stake (400 m) while Double Love’s 1½ length second behind Galactic Destiny should put the 35 kilogram black dog right in the mix in today’s Progreyhoundtips.com Stake (400 m).
Keeping the best to last, the clash of Perseverance and Galactic Athena in the Metal Worx Mixed Stake (512 m) should be worth the wait for those able to access Sky Racing or TAB.com.au.
Both were impressive winners at last week’s meeting, Perseverance chasing recent Angle Park winner Squishy Pea down the back before finishing strongly for a 3¼ length win in 30.07 seconds and Galactic Athena leading all the way to defeat Fabs You Go by six lengths in 29.73 seconds (best).
In a racing career restricted by injuries sustained as a pup, Miss Freelove, a beautifully bred daughter of Smooth Fancy x Casey’s Angel, won four races at Cannington and Mandurah before finding her way to Tracie and Karen Price’s Compton kennels.
Last November, Miss Freelove whelped a second litter – two dogs and five bitches – to Mepunga Blazer.
