Local greyhound Bourne Model, already a winner of $118,665 in prize money following her success earlier this year at Sandown Park in the Group 1 Sapphire Crown, will contest Thursday night’s TAB Match Race Challenge at Angle Park over 530 metres.

Boasting a best time at the track of 30.23 seconds, the daughter of Feral Franky and Sweet On Me last raced on August 14 when finishing unplaced behind Mallee Beauty at Angle Park.

Eight of the nation’s finest greyhounds will line up on Thursday night in the SA v. the All-Stars – all chasing not only bragging rights but also an automatic berth in the TAB Adelaide Cup on Friday, October 10.

Owned and trained at Allendale East by David Peckham, Bourne Model will take on the Victorian-based David Geall trained Barefoot Zulu in the last of the four match races.

By Sennachie out of Kooringa Maizie, Barefoot Zulu is a winner of nine races from 23 starts for $47,492 in prize money. He boasts a quick 29.91 seconds over 530 metres at Angle Park.
