Former SA champion sprinter Worm Burner sired his first Tara Raceway winner last Sunday when the Ray Fewings owned and trained Kisses For Cloda was successful in the Trackside Meats Stake (512 m).
By Oaks Road x Little Looper, Worm Burner won 48 races and stakemoney of $380,000 for Cameron and Yvonne Butcher of Meningie.
Kisses For Cloda, who finished strongly to win the grade six event in 30.25 seconds, is out of Sidney’s Shadow, a winner of 22 races and $53,000 in stakemoney.
Fewings has also enjoyed success with Kisses For Cloda’s older half-brother Castle Rock (by Barcia Bale) who has won eight races including one at Tara Raceway last June when he defeated Ethics.
