Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) acknowledges the critical role of racing safety and injury management in delivering the highest welfare standards.

And Recommendation 25 of the Ashton Review sets out several initiatives in these areas that GRSA is committed to progressing.

Double arm lures are designed to create additional space between greyhounds during a race by presenting two lure lines, which can help reduce collision risk.

A proposed double arm lure model has been presented to the Industry Consultative Group and Members of Company and was approved following a trial on November 20, 2025.

As a result, the following will be introduced in SA – All SA trial sessions will utilise a double arm lure from January 12, 2026. And all SA race meetings, both “finish on” and “catching pen” will utilise double arm lures from January 26, 2026.
