Horsham singer Conrad Winfield, who races greyhounds in partnership with Judy O’Neill, was back on the boards, entertaining patrons between races at last Sunday’s Tara Raceway meeting.
For Winfield, a lead vocalist in six stage productions in the Wimmera and Ballarat as well as a multiple award winner at SA and NSW country festivals, the performance was his first in quite some time.
But the easy-on-the-ear singer was quickly back in the swing of things, with a wide selection of songs ranging from Andrew Lloyd Webber to Elvis, along with happy birthdays to on-course patrons Marita Byron and Allen Williams.
Patrons enjoyed the performance which also included an impromptu dance exhibition from Kerry Hawker and Cap Abbott.
Winfield will be performing again at Tara Raceway between races on Sunday, October 28.
