Blonde Caviar, after a successful litter to the US sire Bella Infrared, this week was mated with high-profile Australian sire Barcia Bale.
By Where’s Pedro x Lemon Cruiser, Blonde Caviar’s first litter has so far produced five individual winners with the stand-out at the moment being McIvor Verna who has gone around on 24 occasions for nine wins, six minor placings and close to $30,000 in prizemoney.
Blonde Caviar, a winner of nine races including city success at The Meadows over 600 metres and a 570 metres win at Horsham, has passed on plenty of strength to her offspring, in particular McIvor Verna.
The Tara Raceway 600 metre record holder has also won twice over 732 metres at the local track as well as winning middle-distance and staying races at The Meadows and Sandown Park in Victoria.
Meanwhile, Lektra Kelly, by Bobby Boucheau x Dohtmann and bred to run all day, has whelped her first litter – two dogs and five bitches by the US sire KC And All.
A son of Gable Dodge x KC Did It Best, KC And All raced on 113 occasions for 80 wins and is a proven sire in the US.
Lektra Kelly, who raced on 63 occasions for 11 wins, 25 minor placings and $30,000 in prizemoney, was successful at Sandown Park as well as winning over 600 metres and 731 metres at Angle Park and 660 metres at Ballarat.
The 23 kilogram black bitch also won five races over the 600 metre journey at Tara Raceway with the highlight being a terrific win in the 2016 Fireball on Mount Gambier Cup day when she came from a long way back to grab Danyo’s Tom.
