The 21-month-old son of My Bro Fabio x Tina Lee, after an average start from box two was in front going out of the first turn and from then on it was always going to be a matter of how far, Go Saints and Rocking Doll filling the minors.
Speaking at the presentation, Board, who previously enjoyed tremendous success with Spring Gun, said that the time hadn’t really surprised him as Spring Bridge had trialled sub-29.60 seconds at the track leading into the cup carnival.
“I think he could be something special,” he had said after the black youngster won a heat the previous week in 30.02 seconds, an effort that attracted plenty of attention from around Australia and New Zealand.
Based in Murray Bridge for nine months, Board, who still has greyhound interests in NSW, said he was looking to breed four litters in SA in the coming year in order to take advantage of the SA-bred breeding incentives.
