Allendale East-based Bourne Model is one of five greyhounds chasing 2025 TAB SA Greyhound of the Year (GOTY) honours at a presentation night at Angle Park on Saturday, February 28.

By Feral Franky, the SA-bred daughter of Sweet On Me was originally raced by the Bourne Team Syndicate prior to trainer David Peckham also taking over the ownership. Other greyhounds under consideration for the SA GOTY are Apilla, Dashing Jordy, Mallee Beauty and Wicket.

During 2025 Bourne Model raced on 25 occasions for 12 wins and five seconds. All told, her prize money for the year was $141,400. Her most significant win of the year was a heat and the final of the Group 1 Sapphire Crown at Sandown Park.

The Greyhound of the Month in May, Bourne Model also won heats of the Group 3 Murray Bridge Cup and the Group 3 Gawler Cup prior to finishing second in both finals. She also won the Adelaide Cup Consolation (the Piping Shrike).
