On what was a busy night of awards at the recent 2023 TAB Greyhound of the Year ceremony at Angle Park, leading local trainers Tracie Price and David Peckham once again found themselves in the “100 Club”.

The “100 Club” is made up of trainers of 100 or more winners for the year at the SA TAB tracks of Angle Park, Gawler, Murray Bridge and Mount Gambier. All told, Price and Peckham trained 229 winners and 150 winners respectively.

For the 2023 award, Price and Peckham, who have been members of the “100 Club” for the past three years, joined Ben Rawlings, Tim Richards, Nicole Price and Clint and Jack Trengove.

With Price engaged at the Murray Bridge meeting last Sunday, a trophy for the “100 Club” was presented to Peckham at Tara Raceway by Noel Perry, president of the Mount Gambier Greyhound Racing Club.

Peckham thanked Greyhound Racing SA for the award and also the Mount Gambier president for making the presentation.

He also acknowledged former Adelaide race track photographer Kurt Donsberg who he said had been instrumental in the introduction of the “100 Club”.
