The Greyhound Racing SA Marketing Department’s solid efforts in promoting greyhound racing via print and television at Mount Gambier’s Tara Raceway appeared to pay dividends at yesterday’s meeting.
Several local families, previously unaware of the track on Lake Terrace East, were out in force to enjoy greyhound racing and the track’s associated amenities.
Local trainers Tracie Price and David Peckham entered into the spirit of the day, conversing with the families as they were photographed with the trainers’ winning greyhounds.
And Adelaide trainer Jayde Hurley was a real hit after she encouraged young girls Hadlie, Kaia, Olivia, Evie and Isabelle to become better acquainted with last race winner Sarcasmic (see Gallery) as he was being led back to the kennel house.
